Kolkata Doctor Rape Case detailed analysis (Kolkata Horror)




Brief Explanation:

This case is related to a rape case which is brutal and affect the society negatively, in this case 31-year-old women trainee doctor Moumita Debnath brutally raped and murdered in her own workplace by some garbage mindset peoples. This shameful and brutal incident happened in the R.G Kar Medical College, Kolkata, West Bengal.

On the night of 8 august 2024, Debnath did lunch with their colleagues and after lot of work she went to be relaxed in the seminar hall after some time her body found in the semi-nude condition, and she passed away from the world. Later, the college authorities informed their family that she committed suicide.

An autopsy was conducted one day later 9th august 2024, after that the unnatural death has been registered and later it changes in rape and murder after the high protest and demand for the justice from each corner of the nation

Dark history of R.G Kar Medical College

The R.G Kar medical college is one of the good medical colleges in India, but this college have lots of mysteries which remains unsolved, and these types of incidents is not first time happened in this college, Let's see those cases which remains unsolved of R.G Kar Medical College.

Saumitra Biswa Case (2001)

In this case a 25-year-old medical student found hanging in his room, his friends said that it is not suicide. As per report of Times of India his mother said that her son knew about the pornography activities in the campus and because of that her son was targeted and killed.

Mysterious Death of Professor (2016)

Again, a Mysterious case of a 54-year-old professor of R.G Kar medical college. He is living in rented apartment in 2016, his dead body was found on the floor of the house and this case also remains unsolved.

With these cases there are more number cases of R.G Kar Medical College which is unsolved and becomes mystery.

Who is the Accused?

The administration is working on the case and still searching for the real culprits while uploading this blog. One Name of accused registered in the custody named Sanjay Roy who is working with the Kolkata police as a civic volunteer.

As per CCTV Footage, 9th August 2024 Sanjay Roy who wear shorts and half sleeve t-shirt roaming in seminar hall at 4:00 A.m. on crime scene, he wears one Bluetooth ear device. Later after investigation police caught him and ask about his Bluetooth device then he said it was lost after that when his phone Bluetooth turned on then it automatically connects with his phone.

After the autopsy of the victim body the report shocks the whole nation and according to the report it is clear that there is no involvement of only one person in this incident.

The report is very horrific, according to the report the pressure was applied on mouth and throat, also fracture in body parts and "150mg" semen found in her vaginal swab.


What actions taken against college administration

On the day of Incident, the college principle named Sandip Gosh talk to the victim's parents and try to mislead them by telling "your daughter did suicide". After the presence of parents in the college, the college administration stopping them to see their daughter body.

Then after the protest starts and this brutal incident news spreading across India. Sandip Ghosh who is the principle of R.G Kar medical college given his resignation. Later he appointed as Kolkata National Medical College.

Court Proceedings

13 August 2024, Calcutta high court was unsatisfied with the police investigation and transfer it to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)

Later 18 august 2024, Supreme Court of India took Suo moto of the case. Three bench judges including chief justice of India heard this matter on 20th august. Here, the judge criticizes the state government, state police, college administration for misleading the investigation of the case.

This Incident is very insensitive and given negative impact on the people of nation. This case becomes the High-profile case and if the justice has not been served properly then criminal mindset peoples who wants to commit crime, they will not hesitate.
